Accounting for: April

I spent half of this month with Falling Slowly playing over and over in my head after seeing a theatre production of Once. I could tell half the audience hadn’t seen the movie because they were stunned by the ending!

October is my favourite month. This was a good one! We had a special event early on – we travelled to our nearby smaller city overnight to see Jane Goodall speak. I thought it was the chance of a lifetime.

September – It’s a Wrap!

Two words for September: Dry Work This month we had our first ever watering ban – not allowed to water lawns and gardens, wash cars, etc. Uncanny! Usually we spend half the summer complaining about the rain and lack of proper weather.

March: It’s a Wrap!

What a strange middle-March we’ve had: not a harsh and cold winter month, but still far from Spring. We’ve had more rain than snow, and the ice on the lakes has long since thawed.  But not even the crocuses are

February: It’s a Wrap!

This is the first month I’ve been tempted to phone it in and say “Nothing to report!” It’s been snoozy. So, here’s a little slice of day-to-day life. The weather has been weird. We had one big snowstorm mid-month. Then
